Q&As

Do you take on every act who wants to be a part of the car wash?

No. Just because you agree to a price doesn’t mean that we’re going to work with your project. We’re very choosy here and we’re not taking on everybody. Time is limited for everyone on Earth. I only want to take on projects that I know we can develop and have a chance at making something happen. And with people who I think have the drive and means to make it.

Can Mr. Colucci advise on any band or style?

I may not be the right fit for every genre musically—but when it comes to the business side, I’ve definitely got something for you.

That said, I work best with artists in Pop, Rock, Metal, Acoustic, Fusion, Christian, and Instrumental genres.

I’m not the guy for straight-up Rap, Power Pop, Punk, or Show Tunes—and I don’t usually take on Country either. But if that’s your lane, no worries—I know exactly who to call.

Does Mr. Colucci take any rights or royalties from your music from you or does he ask for any?

No. Absolutely not. We are here to protect you from giving up those rights to the bad players out there. We help look for the right partners for you to help promote your music. Totally against it.

How much does it cost?

We currently offer four distinct packages. Click on each package for pricing details.

Can we break our agreement at any time?

Sure. But lets not go there. Things happen but you will be charged half of your contract to get out.  But seriously, don’t agree to a term if you can’t pay it. Don’t be a weasel. We put a lot into this and are able to show our work so we should be compensated for the whole agreement. But this is this music business – we get it – so things happen. Doesn’t mean we should be screwed because you went into this with full commitment. But this way you know that there is an out that can happen unlike most agreements. Way too fair on our part I know but whatever.

Is anything refundable?

Real talk. Heck no. I’m doing the work. If you don’t do your part that’s not our problem. I can show receipts so let’s not go there. I’ll never pressure anything but I will make sure I hold up my end.

Can I have you work multiple projects I have going on?

Example:
You have a bunch of stuff that you do in other bands that you also want help with… Is this included?

No. Each project is a different thing. I don’t have time to work all your projects because they are also more projects for me and my team. So if you want that we can totally do it but it’s another agreement.

Will I get a detailed analysis of everything in a spreadsheet or charts to show progress?

No. You can subscribe to Chartmetric or Google it and you’ll find it. Of course if we get you on any lists or charts we will send them to you. But this is your career. You should be actively putting together a working document to study your progress. You use that for your Electronic Press Kit used to send to promoters and news for the fans. You are constantly building a story.

Is it important for me to create content all day?

No. You do need to create content but remember to make the music good enough first so people will want to see that content. And make sure that you are staying on brand with what you are doing and don’t post to post. If you have to archive posts to trick the algorithm, you failed in making great music. If you are an artist, be an artist. Create artistic posts. That’s better than content. Big difference.

Is it guaranteed that Mr. Colucci will make me a star?

No.

Should I have my head examined for wanting to be in the music biz?

Most definitely.

What does 2 plus 2 equal?

Four. Every time. Period.
